Hello, wonder if anyone could help me please bear with me as wording might be wrong as I'm new to this, about 20 years ago I changed my surname via deed poll so obviously my bank account, passport etc is all in new name, I am wanting to change my birth certificate from the fraud realm to common law, can I do this without reverting back to my birth surname and would it be lawful if I change my birth certificate but kept my new surname ? Any help would be welcome, sorry if seems a bit mixed up in the wording but hopefully I'm making some sense. Thanks in advance for any help Rich

It has come to my attention, the Birth Certificate is property of the crown with the crown symbol on...So your name in captitals is copywriten and owned by the crown, thats why it states at the bottom not to be used as evidence, once you use the legal fiction and identify yourself as the legal fiction name, you are commiting fraud and stand under there legal jurisdiction
I have to join this discussion. My real name according to the birth cert, was misspelled by the hospital. Its remained like glue to me. Taking the oath, can i revert to the correct spelling when taking the oath.
Who knows!
I guess I'd say that as long as you are being honest about your aliases and there is public record, such as this, to show you aren't trying to dupe people, you are pretty safe to do as you please.... as far as a jury of your peers would be concerned ;)
Register your given "birth name" - changing your name just created another legal fiction for you
