Hi all, I am having an issue with an enforcement officer from newly plc collection agency. They want me to pay in full or they are going to come to my home and remove goods.
What are their "rights" for this and can i stop them from entering if they turn up at my door?
Can I sell all of my belongings to my lodger and therefore have nothing in the house that I actually own?
Please can you help.
I've just written out my letter to one of the earls in the pdf and have just adjusted the template to my district council (manager of the council tax department) and to newlyn collection agency.
The collector has text me saying my debt hasn't been 'transferred' and that they are working with and for the local authority.
Please can someone help me understand what they can and cannot do>?
Thank you in advance,
Colin
The local government finance act 1992 evidences NO mandatory OBLIGATION to make payment towards council tax The council is under a legal obligation to prove that people are under an obligation to comply with the legislation.
